Because my last Blog wasn't long enough, I decided I should add on to it a little. We'll just say that this is the shorter version of "Living for the Oppressed" with a little extra for your reading pleasure.

I'm not going to deny that Rob Bell is onto something when he raises these radical idea's and delivers it to you in a way that is very hard to ignore/take in without actually wanting to join in this revolution of his. In fact, This is actually a growing trend in the Christian community.

Just recently a group called Hillsong United released a CD/DVD in hopes to fuel the fire to their self proclaimed "I Heart Revolution." It would be wise to note that it's not that these people Love revolution, but it is in fact the Revolution of Love. "I Heart" should be taken separately from "Revolution" in this context.

So when I say that we are at a turning point in the christian community, I don't think that's stretching the current establishment of the forward thinking mindset. What we needn't forget, is that we our on this world as a body of Christ to help those that need it, and not just to help ourselves. How we do that is still to be determined, but the truth of the matter is that it's happening and it needs to be embraced/expanded on before the world becomes worse than it already is.

With two opposing spectrums on either end, it's going to be difficult to understand how these things should be approached, but I believe that what God has in mind is for more people to realize that he is a loving and compassionate God, and that we shouldn't hold that love and compassion for ourselves. However we do it shouldn't be the issue, but in the end it's about coming together and agreeing that we're no longer going to be a congregation that sits back in our pews and worries about our own issues.

We've been saved by the Grace of God.
He's heard our Cries.
Now lets hear the Cries of others.
