I went to Food Lion around 11 p.m. last night. Me and Thomas desparately needed groceries, and instead of going out and buying fast food I decided to go shopping to help me in my "budgeting money" decision.
I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to get, and decided to just walk through every single aisle and grab as I go.
As I get to the soda and chips aisle...I see something weird.
There, hanging from the sides where they usually have the misc. stuff that don't belong in a specific section, were packages of Ping Pong Balls.
Ping Pong Balls?
That was it.
No Ping Pong Paddles anywhere in the store...no other games...nothing.
Do people use Ping Pong balls for anything other than...say...Ping Pong?!
This, of course...was just a weird thing to me...but I just let it go.
20-25 minutes later I'm checking out, and after paying I'm bagging my stuff up and putting it into the basket.
2 guys walk up to the register, somewhere in their 20's, and ask the cashier a really random question.
"Hey, I know this may sound weird...but we were wondering if you had some...Ping Pong balls?" they ask desparately
"Nope...sorry...we don't have any-" She begins to answer
But I interrupt, "Actually...you do!"
"Really?"
Really.
And so I bring them back to the most random item I've ever seen in a grocery store, and basked in their excitement that they just got their hands on some Ping Pong Balls.
"You're the F****** MAN!"
Yes...I know.
