It has been confirmed that Heath Ledger will be playing the joker in the next installment of batman, which will be called "The Dark Knight."

Now I just gotta say, how cool is that?!?!

Who would've suspected it? I sure didn't, then again, I didn't know who I would choose to be the joker if it was up to me, never gave it any thought.

But Heath Ledger, I gotta say I'm proud of their decision.

I'm just wondering how he's going to do it really.

In Lords of Dogtown, he was phenomenal, so much that I didn't even recognize him the first time I saw the movie.

It was a top notch performance from him, and placed him at the top of my fave actors list.

Sure he went down when he did Brokeback, but I didn't actually see that so I can't say much about it...I mean, he got an oscar or something...it's just I don't respect him as much for choosing a role such as that.

But after A Knights Tale and The Brother's Grimm, I'm referring to the accent and normality to the characters, the Joker is definetely going to be some what of a challenge.

Not only are you going against, whom people say is the best joker ever, Jack Nicholson (though me personally I think that will change after this next movie.)

But you're also becoming Batman's most vicious rival of all time.

And you just gotta wonder how he's going to pull it all off.

The smile
The laugh
The make up
The humor and demeanour

Needless to say I'm excited to find out how it's going to turn out.

But you're tired of hearing about Heath, what about the rest of Batman?

What about it?

Joker won't be the only villian appearing in the next movie, but though I'm not sure of the details of who of the many will be battling the dark knight, I do know that it's "rumored" that Penguin will be one of them.

and if I'm correct, the scarecrow will be back as well, but that's something I heard a long...l o n g time ago.

In fact, Joker won't even be appearing till halfway through the movie, and he won't just show up in a blaze of glory and say "IT'S ME BATTY BOY!!!HHHAAAAHAHAHAHAAAA"

no, he'll have a backstory, and we'll get to know more about him as the movie goes along. It'll be deeper...so I hear.

Sounds like it'll be good, cause let's face it, Christian Bale is an awesome batman, but we know batman's story. What's interesting now are the villians? And not just learning more about them, but just seeing who will be the actors.

Not to mention we still have yet to hear anything about a possible robin...hmmm...maybe I'll try out for the part...

you think?
