So what are the odds of me and my girlfriend getting into car accidents on the same day...
Yeah...that's exactly what happened.
Details aside, I got out of my accident in an alright mood. The damage that was done to my car on the left front corner...area...needed work anyway, as well as the bumper; which was screwed two years ago, and the blinkers which don't work anymore. So now insurance gets to take care of everything in one shot which is awesome, but the only bad part is the blame is on me and I get a ticket for "following too closely" which may or may not be true...but my memory goes towards the latter.
An equal trade I think.
But Andrea...she's a lot worse off. She's fine, but in pain, and it just sucks that in her situation it is also her fault.
She was in a turning lane and figured she had enough space to turn before the car coming her direction could reach her, well because the guy was speeding this was untrue and her judgment as a new driver wasn't able to determine this. With parents like hers they could care less about her well being, and care more about the car, insurance, and repairs, even though she was hit pretty hard. Cops don't even care that the guy was speeding because he had the right of way, and so now the whole situation is just enclosing in on her.
She really doesn't deserve this. She works so hard.
It's been a busy week.
I hope things get better for her.
