Yup. It's a goner.
Can't save it now.
I'm a little sad, because there goes my faithful Tablet PC. I loved that thing, no matter how little I used it.
Bad news: My harddrive is screwed up, and I don't know how easy it would be for someone to extract all the goodness saved onto it so I don't shed a tear for the inevitable loss.
Good news: Not everything is lost.
I was smart enough to back up most of my files (all of which I keep in one huge folder!!) recently, so those things are all on my handy dandy external hardrive. Except for music, and a few projects worked on that I never got to back up (ie: tshirts, drawings, saved photos, etc.) then everything was pretty much saved.
Even the music is A-OK, because it's all still located on my 30 gig Ipod, which I understand is possible to extract with certain programs when I get the chance.
So not all is lost!!
(thank God!)
I always said I was going to prepare for these things, but unfortunetely I was lazy and never got fully around to it, and was always "in process" per se.
Oh well, guess I always was one to learn from my own stupid mistakes.
Moving on, this just means I have no choice but to get my new iMac computer that I've been wanting to get for a while. Right now all I have is access to internet at work and a roommate's slow computer that won't serve my needs fully (but it does well to check up on myspace!!)
Projects, though, will have to be put on hold till I get things straight.
Things to look forward to:
+possible video podcasts
+music?
+more drawings if I get around to them
+graphics and/or Tshirts
+etc.
_etc.
Those are only a few things I'm limited to now that the computer is gone.
I'll have to actually buy my own copy of Photoshop now, since the one I was using was from my dad and I don't think I'll be able to get it again. A tablet, the most important thing about that computer, is now a must as well.
It's a tough thing, but at least I still have my memories...
...
and my music!
now...a moment of silence...for the Angel001...who lost it's dignity to the great computer crash of october 2007.
...
p.s. - this is all thomas' fault btw, because it all stems back to the day he dropped my computer 6 months ago.
